Synchronous Motors
This series of motors have the following significant features:
- Specifically designed for inverter technology
- Square design for easy mounting
- Magnetic circuits optimally designed to customer specific power / torque / speed characteristics
- Large range of air and water cooled motors
- Significantly higher power density compared to asynchronous motors
- Due to higher power density, these motors are smaller compared to similarly powered asynchronous units
- Less rotor inertia than asynchronous motors
- No slip
